Belue Farms Natural Market Sponsors Food Drive

Belue Farms Natural Market is sponsoring a food drive through Saturday, March 30, benefitting Ruth’s Gleanings. A food rescue and distribution service, Ruth’s Gleanings provides nutrient-dense, fresh packaged and whole foods to people in poverty throughout Spartanburg County. Collection boxes will be stationed inside Belue Farms Natural Market. In addition, the store will mark food items ideal for donation.

During the drive, the market will accept donations of canned goods (fruits, vegetables, beans, soups, stews, tuna, meats, etc.), nut butters, protein-rich snacks and bars, and packaged dry goods such as grains, cereals, nuts, pasta, flour and pantry staples. In addition, the store welcomes outside donations of canned and dry goods that are not opened, damaged, expired or homemade.

Each customer who makes a food donation at the store can enter a contest to win a $50 Belue Farms Natural Market gift certificate. In addition, the market will donate fresh produce and a monetary gift to Ruth’s Gleanings. “We wholeheartedly support Ruth’s Gleanings’ mission to distribute healthy foods to our community,” says Belue Farms Natural Market owner, Harriett Belue. “Our region is known for generosity, and we hope this drive makes it easier to donate food to citizens in need.”

Belue Farms Natural Market is located at 3769 Parris Bridge Rd., Boiling Springs. To learn more about Ruth’s Gleanings or make a direct donation, visit RuthsGleanings.com. For detail on the food drive, call 864-578-0446.
